Talking Money exists to alleviate poverty and its mission is “improving lives by tackling financial problems”. For 28 years we have empowered people to take control over their finances. We provide free and independent advice on debt, benefits and financial education.
We are based in Lawrence Hill, Bristol, which is one of the most income deprived areas in the city. The majority of our clients live in Bristol and the surrounding area and are seen face-to-face; our telephone and online services are available to anyone in England.
Talking Money has a track record of maintaining its services in a very difficult funding environment, but this is currently under significant threat as long-held sources of funding have either evaporated or become much harder to maintain. Our staff (currently 21, 18fte) have great expertise and commitment, but are under significant pressure to continue to provide advice to very high numbers of vulnerable clients, many of whom face multiple disadvantage

Fundraising Manager – November 2018
We seek an experienced, capable and enterprising fundraising manager who can work with our Leadership Team and our Trustees to develop and adapt our fundraising strategy and implement it with energy, commitment and imagination. A clear track record of success in raising a wide variety of funds is essential and a good understanding of the voluntary and community sector and the advice environment will be expected.
The salary for the permanent full-time post is £30,756 to 34,106. Applicants wishing to work a 30-hour week are also welcome, for which the salary will be pro rata.

We are looking for an excellent project manager to help us to maintain and improve our existing delivery through partnerships and ensure that we provide an outstanding service to our major funders. The role will involve giving oversight and direction to allocated partnerships and having responsibility for extensive performance reporting to funders in a timely and effective way.
You will need to be analytical, very comfortable with both words and numbers, able both to work on your own initiative and collaboratively as a part of a team. You’ll have strong planning, organisational and problem-solving skills and be able to communicate with and influence people at all levels across many organisations.
You may have worked in any sector, but we would expect you to demonstrate some understanding of the voluntary sector and the people that we help.
The salary for the permanent full-time post is £28,221 to £30,756 per annum. We would consider applications from individuals wishing to work 30 hours per week, for which the salary would be pro rata.
