About our benefits advice service
Our benefits advice service is delivered by our Financial Inclusion team, which consists of Financial Inclusion Officers, an Income Maximisation Officer and a Benefits Advice Caseworker. The team has been shortlisted for many awards including Best Financial Capability Project 2016 from the Institute of Money Advisers. The major funders for this service are the British Gas Energy Trust, Solon South West Housing Association, and Bristol and Wessex Water.
How our Financial Inclusion team can help
Our Financial Inclusion team works with clients 1:1 and in group settings to deliver benefits advice, maximise income and improve confidence in managing money. You can contact the team for free advice and support if you need help with your benefits, including Tax Credits, Housing Benefit and Disability Benefits. They can also help identify benefits you don’t currently receive to increase your income or do a calculation to find out if you would be better-off going into work.
