Amanda

Amanda, a self-employed singer, single parent, and a returning client of Talking Money, has grappled with finances, debts, and mental health challenges over a period of 20 years. When facing eviction, we initially helped her extend her tenancy by negotiating with the landlord and the court. Evicted at a later date, Amanda then went through chaotic housing allocations. During this time we helped her with foodbank vouchers, charity applications, and benefits issues. Once she secured a council house we supported a complaint, resulting in awarded compensation to cover her bankruptcy fees for a fresh start. Her committed relationship with her adviser, Cheryl, has encouraged her to develop control and confidence in dealing with her finances. Importantly, Amanda was able to continue her employment and studies which will continue to support her in the future.
Amanda’s story demonstrates her resilience and the need for appropriate advice and support. Talking Money remains committed to empowering individuals like Amanda to navigate financial hardships and improve their life circumstances.
